Raben Ukraine has won the 3-year contract with Electrolux, thus opening a new segment, namely large-scale household appliances, in its operations in Ukraine. Raben Ukraine gives this project the full range of warehousing services in its distribution centre in Brovary, Kyiv region, including customs clearance and distribution of Electrolux products throughout Ukraine.

The agreement was signed after announcing the results of the tender by Electrolux, and it involves a direct presence of Electrolux as a legal entity with the right to conduct commercial activities on the territory of Ukraine. This is one of the first examples when a large manufacturer of domestic appliances has directly entered the Ukrainian market and Raben Ukraine is involved in this process.

Raben Ukraine provides its services in 8 Ukrainian cities, covering the whole territory of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhye and Khmelnitsky. Kyiv branch of Raben Ukraine is located in the village Velyka Dymerka near Brovary and the total area of distribution centre has more than 45,000 square meters. The distribution centre consists of warehouse shelf storage, professional cross-dock, warehouse storage also with temperature control which is divided into 3 separate parts with the possibility to maintain different temperature regimes from +2°C to +6°C or higher (at the request of customers).

”According to the agreement, Raben Ukraine each month will provide a few thousand of square meters of warehouse area for several suppliers of Electrolux. Maximum storage area for this customer may extend to about 10,000 sq.m.. It will organize and consolidate the process of delivering goods to company outlets located throughout Ukraine, while ensuring the highest level of quality and timely delivery. Statements of shipments will be delivered electronically via the Internet, which will greatly simplify and speed up the processing of orders. The companies are also in the process of developing a common control system of product movement from producers to end consumers with the ability to control the goods on every stage,“ states Ruslan Perverziev, Logistics Director Raben Ukraine.

The new agreement involves the supply chain for practically the whole product range of Electrolux Group through the warehouses of Raben Ukraine, including products of Electrolux, Zanussi and AEG-Electrolux. What is also interesting, storage of white goods is block-based, which forces us to highly modify our warehouse management system (WMS) with new functions, like for example preparing all orders for one product (SKU) at once (instead of preparing all the SKU of one order).

”Our warehouse workers had a one-month training at Electrolux factory. Thanks to our actions, we have managed to optimize warehouse processes and costs related to human resources. As an example, in Moscow, in similar processes, the amount of workers who are involved is 15; in other European countries the amount of workers is 6 while in our company it is only 3-4 people,” says Oleg Zakrevsky, Warehouse Manager Raben Ukraine.
