GE Shipping takes delivery of Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier - 28.02.2011
Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd (GE Shipping) has taken delivery of a new Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier, Jag Aarati. The vessel, of about 80,700 DWT, was built at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, South Korea, Exim News Service reports. With the induction of this vessel, the company's fleet stands at 33, comprising 27 tankers (10 crude carriers, 16 product tankers, 1 LPG carrier) and 6 (1 Capesize, 1 Kamsarmax, 1 Panamax, 2 Supramax, 1 Handymax) dry bulk carriers with an average age of 10 years, aggregating 2.57 m DWT. The company's current newbuilding order book comprises 7 vessels, aggregating 1.23 m DWT (3 tankers, aggregating 0.95 m DWT and 4 dry bulk carriers, aggregating 0.28 m DWT).
