MSC announces rate restoration - 24.02.2011
Mediterranean Shipping Co. (MSC) has announced a rate restoration on the India to North Europe, UK, West and East Mediterranean, and Black Sea trade lanes, according to Exim News Service. It will be by $ 200 per TEU, effective from March 1, 2011. MSC was in the news recently for having overtaken Maersk Line to become the world's largest ocean carrier in terms of container vessel capacity, according to a report on ci-online. MSC's capacity of 1,848,440 TEUs in service on February 15 had just exceeded that of Maersk Line, the report said. MSC has been constantly upgrading its service levels to cater to the increasing volumes and demands of new trade lanes. This rate restoration will enable the company to maintain services at the highest levels that its customers expect. CARGO TRACKINGht.tr® Internet Tracking Agents & Offices |
