Cosco and Hanjin have announced they will jointly launch a new Far East-US west coast service, the "Central China-Long Beach Express" (CLX), from May 1, reported the latest Alphaliner newsletter.
Deploying five 4,400 TEU containerships to relaunch a direct connection between Fuzhou and the US west coast, the CLX will link Fuzhou, Shanghai (Yangshan) and Ningbo with Long Beach.
"K" Line and Yang Ming, the other members of CKYH, have not yet released their decision on participation in this service.
