China to build a rail line to Myanmar - 03.06.2011

China and Myanmar have signed a MoU to build a rail line between the Chinese city of Ruili and Myanmar's port city Kyaukphyu, according to Railway Technology.

Under the agreement, China Railway Group (China Railway) will carry out the project.

The 810km rail line will start from the Chinese city of Ruili in the south-western Yunnan Province, extending to Muse and ending at Myanmar's port city Kyaukphyu.

The project is expected to be completed in three years.
