Ukraine is planning to construct a railway line connecting the Boryspil International Airport in the Kyiv area, and the city of Kyiv in May this year.

The 37.4km line will be constructed at a cost of UAH2,978.508m ($373.5m), which includes UAH532.215m ($66.7m) for construction of a 16km railway line and a 3km railway flyover costing UAH1,581.576m ($198.3m).

The project also includes a UAH192.449m ($24m) terminal at the Kyiv-Passenger station and the purchase of four five-car electric trains for UAH229.170m ($28.7m).

The train service between the two stations is scheduled to commence by the end of next year, which will reduce the journey time to 41 minutes, according to Railway Technology.
