Ministry of Coal to rationalize coal linkages - 12.04.2011

Indian Ministry of Coal is working on rationalization of coal linkages to ensure timely availability of coal and minimize the cost of its transportation for various projects. Discussing the issue of availability of coal for Orissa, with Chief Minister of the State, Shri Naveen Patnaik here today Minister of Coal Shri Sriprakash Jaisawal said that his ministry would provide all possible support to make available more coal to the state.

Shri Naveen Patnaik called on Shri Sripraksh Jaisawal to apprise him of the requirements of coal for projects in Orissa and raised the issue of revision of coal mining royalty. He also urged to arrange speedy clearance from various central agencies for coal blocks already allotted to the state.
