UK Rail service improves punctuality - 22.02.2011
About 90.3% of Britain's trains arrived on time this year, compared with 89.5% for the same period last year, according to new figures from Network Rail. These latest train performance results cover the period from 9 January to 5 February 2011 this year, following difficult winter conditions in December. The findings highlight that only eight of the 19 operators had improved performance levels above 3%, compared with the same period last year. London Overground was the most punctual operator during the period with 96.4% of trains on time, while East Coast saw the biggest drop in punctuality with only 80.9% of trains on time. Virgin Trains improved punctuality levels from 77.9% in 2009/10 to 86.9% in 2010/11, Railway Technology reports. CARGO TRACKINGht.tr® Internet Tracking Agents & Offices |
