Visakhapatnam Port established an all- time record in unloading chrome ore in a day recently, according to Exim News Service.

In a release issued here, the Port said that a quantity of 8,600 tonnes of chrome ore, with a hook output of 782 tonnes, was discharged on May 29 on account of Vishnu Chemicals Ltd, Hyderabad, from the vessel m.v. Tamoyo Maiden at EQ-3, surpassing the previous best of 8,014 tonnes discharged with a hook output of 1,002 tonnes on August 22, 2010 from the vessel m.v. Skagen.

Srivalli Shipping & Transport was the stevedore, while James Mackintosh & Co. Pvt. Ltd the steamer agent for the vessel.
