Petrolesport OJSC offers discount - 18.05.2011
Petrolesport OJSC (part of the Global Ports Investments PLC group) today announces a 50% discount on services required for delivering Japanese containers to the additional radiation control zone put in place in Russia following developments in Japan. Russian customs authorities have recently introduced these additional controls at the entry point for all imported cargo arriving from Japan. These extra measures primarily cover suppliers of Japanese auto components for Nissan and Toyota factories in Russia as well as electronics suppliers. Currently, approximately 50 containers carrying cargo from Japan are checked at Petrolesport daily including containers delivered by NYK Line, “K” Line, COSCO, Maersk and OOCL. “We hope our decision to apply a discount to the handling of these imports, given these additional requirements for customers, will be seen as further confirmation of the port's goodwill and partnership with feeder lines and forwarding agents”, said Alexander Svetlichny, commercial director of Petrolesport OJSC.
